That's an understatement, and the reason he pulled out this medal. There was some sort of energy-sucking genie over the arena; even Pleshenko skated as if he couldn't care less. But Buttle skated with spark, and if anything he came even more alive near the end. The first individual Canadian male to win a medal this Olympics.
