I only had energy yesterday to upload one photo of the streetcar derailment at Spadina and College. I've uploaded the rest, including a closeup of the wheels off their tracks and a most unusual sight: an empty Spadina Avenue.
Apparently, this was the second derailment at that intersection this week. Lucky people who use the Spadina car regularly. And apparently drivers do not like those switches because they are not always pointing the right way and off the streetcar comes. It used to be the drivers had to get out and manually "flip the switch." I wonder if manual would mean better service... Enjoy the slide show!
