The Toronto Star declares a Conservative Majority in an above-the-fold headline, where no-one will miss it. The Star knows that's crap. Thinking Canadians know that's crap. But they're speaking to the fearful, hoping that what worked in the last election will work again to ensure a Liberal win. And it's working, according to at least one caller on the Bill Carroll show on CFRB. Then again 1 week in an election is a lifetime, and if the scary monster tactic no longer works against Harper, can reason reassert itself to counter this old tactic in the next 2 weeks as well?
